If you're worried about what might become of the stamp out in the wild, you could always make it a personal traveller. I recently had to give up my horse and I made a PT in her honor. I keep it with my trail stamp so I will see it everytime I stamp into a box. It will also bring back happy memories anytime someone asks for it.
